Civilization IV
November 2, 2007
I had the misfortune to download and install Civilization IV over the weekend, so that has been occupying a sizable portion of my life. Like, all of it.
Civilization is like a much more complicated version of RISK or Settlers of Catan, in which you are trying to establish a Civilization that can conquer the world. This game can get very complicated, and takes a very long time to play, especially if one does a lot of micro-management. The problem with Civilization is that it’s addictive. Once you start playing a game, it is nearly impossible to stop. I have honestly sat and played Civilization for at least 6 hours without stopping on several occasions. Who would have thought such a thing possible for a turn-based game?
It’s too much, I must turn my back on this game.
