Spending Thanksgiving abroad is rough, but I was fortunate to have a support network of American teaching assistants here in Austria. As such, I was able to enjoy turkey, corn bread, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, and even pumpkin pie last night at a big Thanksgiving dinner here in Vienna.

Overall, it was awesome, much better than last year’s Thanksgiving in Berlin, where I went out to an Indian restaurant for dinner. It was delicious, mind you, but it didn’t have that Thanksgiving feeling. Thanksgiving in Vienna was like being transported to America for an evening.

Anyway, the point is, Thanksgiving is a great holiday, and mine was nice.
