Presidential Debate #2

October 8, 2008

I couldn’t watch it. I tried. I really tried. But it was too painful. McCain is incoherent. Obama sounds good, but he’s not making a case for his position that an intelligent person could accept.

Now, a serious question: why isn’t there a competitive advantage for a candidate who gives intelligent answers to questions? McCain is gonna lose anyway, and his insipid answers aren’t helping. Why not try something bold?

Addendum: I quote Will Wilkinson too much, but he nails it, once again.

“Obama owned it. This election’s over unless he murders and eats the flesh of a child on live television.”
